damn krisflyer miles.

all i'd wanted to do was go on a nice, affordable holiday to the big apple with a close pal.

i thought i'd had it all worked out. i'd fly out to the big apple on miles my da's accumulated, and stay with shoe slut who's been seconded there for 3 months. flight and accom all gao dim (settled)! i just need to save enough money for my shopping habit and bagel addiction.

or so i thought.

i visited the sq counter at paragon today, and found out, to my absolute horror, that all the flights were FULLY BOOKED.

which means i can fly out to the home of paris hilton and nicole ritchie, but i won't be able to fly back till a month later. that's a week after shoe slut's due to be back in singapore, and 3 weeks after my funds are estimated to run out!

so i booked myself on whatever flights i could get my miserable paws on, and waitlisted myself on another 3 more flights.

then i came home and logged on to the sq website. which was when i discovered, to my indignance, that if i were to PAY for the flight, i'd have lots of seats to choose from! of cos, i'd also be S$3000.00 poorer. but i get to fly out and come back on the dates that i want!

this discrimination is absolutely infuriating! what's the point of giving me all these miles if i can't redeem them when i want to? I'll accumulate millions and millions of miles and carry them ALL with me to my grave cos' everytime i want to go on a trip, the bloody flight's FULLY BOOKED. is this how they reward the loyalty of their frequent flyer? this is too too unreasonable!

i think i shall write a complaint letter.

then again, if i were a paying customer, and i'd just found out my seat's been given up to a non-paying-mile-redeeming-stingy-scrooge, i'd be writing a complaint letter as well.
