house m.d.

"what would you want? a doctor who holds your hand while you die, or a doctor who ignores you while you get better? i guess it would particularly suck to have a doctor who ignores you while you die."

i've recently gotten myself hooked on this little gem of a medical drama. i've watched only 4 episodes so far, and i can't wait to see the rest.

hugh laurie plays a bitter yet brilliant diagnostician, dr. gregory house, who possesses neither a bedside manner nor social skills, but whose unconventional thinking and pure brilliance earns our reluctant respect. his brutal honesty is immensely entertaining, and one can only wish to be half as forward as he is. week after week, he tackles puzzle after medical puzzle with his select group of young experts in order to save lives.

a comparison between medical dramas is inevitable. but note this: house m.d. is nothing like grey's anatomy - it is far more intelligent, and no less entertaining than the latter. the producers of house m.d. have done a magnificent job in assembling a brilliant cast who brings to life a very well-written script.

watch it. you won't regret it.
